The Office of the Dean serves the students, faculty and staff of the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy by overseeing marketing, alumni relations and donor relations.
Services We Offer
- Gifts to thank your preceptors or guest speakers
- Approving the use of the School’s logo for print or digital marketing materials
- Approving apparel and fundraising items
- Health fair/outreach event promotion
We are happy to assist you in promoting your health care event; however, no promotion can begin until our office receives notification of event approval from the Office of Professional Programs. We can assist you in making sure everything is ready, but we cannot make the information public until the event has been approved.
IPPE Preceptor Gift Request
Preceptor gifts for IPPE funded outreach events will be universal based on the number of events a preceptor has volunteered for.
One month prior to event
Submit the IPPE Preceptor Gift Request Form.
Three business days prior to event
When you receive an email with a link, upload preceptor roster. You will need the following information for every preceptor, gifts will not be provided unless all information is included:
- Legal first name
- Last Name
- CA Pharmacist License #
- Preferred email
- Preferred phone number
You can obtain the pharmacist license from the California State Board of Pharmacy website.
Prior to your event
Non-IPPE Preceptor Gift Requests
Preceptor gifts can be purchased from the Office of External Relations.
Three weeks prior to event
Review the Preceptor Gifts Descriptions for the options currently available and their costs. Select your gifts. You are limited to three different types of gifts.
Complete your Funds Approval Form for the total amount needed to cover your gifts and email to Jen Flora at email@example.com.
Two weeks prior to event
Submit the Preceptor Gift Request Form.
Note: The Funds Approval Form must be received by our office before your order will be accepted.
Prior to your event
If you are hosting a special guest or VIP on campus, please let the Dean’s Office know at least two weeks in advance, or as soon as the visitor is confirmed. This allows the Dean to accommodate a visit with the visitor if appropriate and provides time for any coordination that may be needed. Special guests/VIPs include anyone who is not a faculty member or University employee.
Send the following information to Lauri McInnis, manager, faculty and staff administrative affairs:
- Guest’s name, title
- Date, time and location of event
- The student group/department hosting the event
- Purpose of visit (e.g. speaker, panelist)
- Your contact information
